The code and the room
Every prompt that talks to the model. The audio engine, byte by byte. This very page. All of it AGPL-3.0 — the same license as Strudel, the language your loops speak. Run it, fork it, bend it, steer it.
Three names, one machine
Klappn is the studio — you type a sentence and it writes the song: the sound, the picture, the code, yours to keep. The engine room is the same machine with the lid off — your hits underneath, live code on top, sound the moment it lands — powered by zaltz, our audio engine, which also ships standalone. zissl is the light — a million-agent swarm that paints the pictures behind everything.
A price you can read
One price a month, and it says what it buys: Creator is $12 for 73 songs, Studio is $39 for 233. Make an account and the first ones are on the house — no card to look around, and no clock running while you are at work. Underneath, the meter is still a flat public rate — a dollar of machine time is 200k units — and the entire sheet is lib/pricing.ts — one screen of open code, so the price is something you read, and any change to it is a commit with our name on it, never a surprise on a bill. The instrument itself — engine, panes, mixer, the live room — is free, no account needed to start; only the machine’s own work is on the plan, and the servers are on us. Rather hold the keys yourself? Self-host: your model key, your bill, our code.
What happens to what you make
Your songs are yours. Play them anywhere, take them anywhere.
On this hosted service we keep the record of the making — your prompt, the model’s work, your edits, what you kept, what you killed, and the code you play in the engine room. Here’s why, said now so you never find it out later: we’re going to raise Klappn’s own music model on the best of what’s made here, so this tool stops renting anyone else’s brain. That model stays inside this project.
